Old farts

After drinks with two very dear friends
We realized
If our rusty arithmetic skills can still be relied on
It has been 8 years since we were 16.
Eight.Years.
And that was when it hit us.
We are old.
Well very much older than 16 for sure.

And as we sat talking about what we had gone through in college
It seems surreal that those are all now in the past
That it feels like time is slipping by
Just like sand through the fingers
And the need to redefine life beckons
To know what one wants and to actually achieve it are
absolutely two disparate elements

This constant struggle of what you plan versus what actually happens
The perpetual battle between what is expected and what is delivered
The difficult choice between what is easy and what is right
All these Meant less when you were 16

Mistake of the day
Gorging down a big bar of chocolate while reading a health magazine
